‘The Church of Scotland in Helensburgh’ is the name of the ‘Parish Grouping’ of the congregations of Park Church, St. Columba Church, and the West Kirk in Helensburgh, formed on the 1st October 2003. The purpose of the Parish Grouping is to encourage co-operation in respect of worship, pastoral care, Christian education, mission, and outreach in the combined parishes of the three congregations. The common work of the Parish Grouping is promoted and co-ordinated by a ‘Working Together’ committee, drawn from members of the three congregations. All proposals are subject to the approval of the Kirk Session, and where necessary, the financial court of each of the three congregations. |
